Join us for reading, bubbly toasts, and learn about how you can submit to our 50th-anniversary anthology, AMERICA’S FUTURE.

Saturday, September 15th at 1 pm POTTER’S HOUSE in Washington DC with Holly Karapetkova, Jona Colson, Caroline Bock, and our WWPH 2024 FELLOWS.

Tuesday, September 17th from 5:30-8:30 pm – at the Arts Club of Washington — WWPH LITERARY SALON on Literary Cross-currents hosted by Caroline Bock and Jona Colson with DC-area writers including Naomi Ayala, Dan Vera, Diana Rojas, and Elizabeth Bruce – made possible with a grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Sunday, October 13 at 5 pm – Politics and Prose (main store on Connecticut Avenue) – launch of our 2024 award-winning books with Varun Gauri, Chanlee Luu, and Megan Doney.

Sunday, October 27 at 3 pm – Writer’s Center in Bethesda – reading/reception with our 2024 award-winning authors: Varun Gauri, Chanlee Luu, and Megan Doney along with our 2024 Jean Feldman Poetry Award-winner K. Avvirin Berlin.

Sunday, November 17th at 5 pm – Busboys & Poets in Takoma Park – WWPH Holiday Reading with Varun Gauri, Melanie Hatter, Robert Williams, Steven Leyva, Len Kruger, Holly Karapetkova, Caroline Bock and Jona Colson.

Tuesday, November 19th at 7:30 p– The Inner Loop at Sonny’s Pizza in DC- Jona Colson, featured reader, and WWPH-sponsored book sale.

Sunday, November 24th at 5:30 pm – Reston Used Bookstore in Reston, VA monthly reading featuring WWPH writers.

FEBRUARY 7-10 – AWP IN KANSAS CITY

Stop by our Washington Writers’ Publishing Table — Exhibit 13034 –in Kansas City. We are thrilled to be back at AWP after so many years! Plus, kick off your AWP with our WRITING THE DMV READING with Day Eight and Yellow Arrow Publishing on WEDNESDAY, February 7th at 5 pm. DETAILS here.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15 at 7:30 pm at SANDY SPRING MUSEUM – MoCo Underground Reading

In conjunction with the MoCo Underground reading series at the Sandy Spring Museum in Sandy Spring, Maryland, join us for an evening of poetry and prose in a special night focused on love! LOVE CONTINUES, hosted by WWPH co-president Caroline Bock, and features members of the Washington Writers’ Publishing House community, including Kathleen Wheaton, Elizabeth Bruce, Bernardine “Dine” Watson, Len Kruger, and Melanie Hatter. Come early and sign up for our OPEN MIC (limited spots!). Free and open to all.

FEBRUARY 24 from 4-6 pm at SOLID STATE BOOKS in WASHINGTON, DC — THE WWPH LITERARY SALON

Join our co-presidents Caroline Bock and Jona Colson along with D.C.-based writers Bernardine “Dine” Watson and Len Kruger and poets Regie Cabico and Susan Scheid for the first-ever WWPH Literary Salon made possible with a grant from the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities! More details forthcoming — however, the salon will include a free creative writing workshop at 4 pm followed by a reading by our writers at 5 pm and an open mic hosted by Caroline & Jona.
